Poopy Pants Blues (All Parts Played by Adam Rapa) + SUPERB Advice for Trumpeters

Poopy Pants Blues comes at the end of a talk from Adam Rapa, who gives great examples of better ways to practice scale patterns as well as how to use multi-tracking in your practice.

Ingrid Jensen, another superb trumpeter who shared how she practices in The Practice of Practice, when talking about playing with Adam said, “He can play the poop out of the trumpet.” Here’s your proof: Poopy Pants Blues. Have a listen, then go back and learn a new way to do scale studies, as well as how to use multi-tracking in your practice.

Poopy Pants Blues starts at 7:34 if the video below doesn’t automagically go there (it should).

    1. Oop, sorry, Bill, your comment slipped past me over the holiday. That’s a great question! I wish I knew. Garage Band would work, and so would Audacity (both free programs). There are a few apps that do the job, too (and less initial learning barrier). Adam might answer you if you posed him the question. Try it! If he does, I’d love to know, too.
