Just Because: Trumpet With a Crystal Bell

Just this. Posted on the Marcinkiewicz Company’s Facebook page (click thru for larger pic):

From Daniel T. Parker: "She still looks great. I named her after my daughter "Cashel" She is the Cashel Crystal Bell Trumpet.I made 24 of these. Rick Baptist has one and Stan Mark may still have his. Stan's is in black lacquer.I have seen them in a few museums. I will still make them for anyone interested. The serial number will tell you date of manufacture and bore size. Ziggy made the valve block for me and they are based on the LA Benge. Dark "flugelesk" sound. Custom Parker lead pipe and slides. Nice to see."

In addition to all the other great info, a chapter in Sound the Trumpet: How to Blow Your Own Horn is devoted to different kinds of trumpets.
