Etienne Charles is a trumpeter born in Trinidad and he’s got a lot of smart and insightful things to say about music, and about jazz specifically. These are from a series of interviews over at iRock Jazz. There are a bunch of other talks with trumpeters over there.

Etienne mentions “Pops,” and if you’re a trumpet player, you probably know he’s talking about Louis Armstrong.
